<![CDATA[Ghanaian rapper M.anifest was recently tipped by BBC’s arts program, The Strand, as one of four artists globally to watch out for in 2012. In the segment, the BBC featured a snippet of M.anifest’s “suffer” (the M3nsa remix) with Strand host Lawrence Pollard delivering high praise of the song. In his words the song was: “Incredibly sunny and up. It’s got a wonderful open feel but he’s really sharp on his lyrics as well. They’re not dark but they’re quite penetrating. You want to listen to him.” Another DJ on BBC, Rita Ray also comments: “He’s got just a magnificent aura, and people just want to be working with him all the time.” M.anifest released his sophomore debut, “Immigrant Chronicles: Coming to America,” in September of last year – an album the Star Tribune listed in its top ten albums of 2011. He is poised to have a stellar year with plans for more touring and creative collaborations in and out of Africa. He was in South Africa this weekend watch this space for details.]]>
