Mea Wilkerson scores a lead in ‘The Wrong Highschool Sweetheart’

Brooklyn-born actress, Mea Wilkerson has scored a lead role in Lifetime Movies’ upcoming thriller, ‘The Wrong Highschool Sweetheart’.

Wilkerson plays the role of Danielle who reunites with her high school sweetheart Danny (Alex Trumble). She is soon shocked to learn how far Danny is willing to go to keep their high school memories, and their relationship, alive. ‘The Wrong Highschool Sweetheart’ also stars Vivica A. Fox, Jeremy Meeks, Ryan Shoos, Doug Rogers, Eric Roberts, Helene Udy and Tracy Nelson. It premieres on LMN, on February 4, 2022.

Mea Wilkerson is an American triple threat born in New York and raised in Raleigh, NC. Dedrea Vinson, her single parent mom, supported Mea’s desire in the arts by bringing her to dance classes, rehearsals, and auditions.

At the age of 19, Mea won her first award as The Best Female Actress in a Leading Role for the Musical, “Mirandy & Brother Wind.” At the age of 19 Mea also moved to New York by herself to purse her career in acting. Mea has co-stared in “Hairspray” as Lil Inez and began to work on TV series such as “Internet Ruined My Life” on SYFY and “BrainChild” on Netflix.

Mea then moved to Los Angeles at the age of 23 continuing to work in her field of acting and studying at The United Kingdom’s Leading Part-Time Drama School, Identity School of Acting. (meas bio)
