Mr Ibu’s burial set for June 28
The family of popular Nigerian actor, Mr Ibu, announced that his burial will take place on June 28 in his hometown of Amuri, Enugu State.
The five-day funeral rites will commence with a march on June 25, followed by a candlelight procession and live entertainment night on June 26. On June 27, a wake-keeping ceremony will be held, with the burial and funeral service scheduled for June 28, culminating in a thanksgiving service on June 30.
Mr Ibu, who passed away on March 2 at the age of 62, was celebrated for his comedic roles in over 200 movies, including “Mr Ibu in London” and “Police Recruit.” The Okafor family invites friends, well-wishers, and the public to join them in honoring the memory of their beloved icon and bidding him farewell.
