Students from six schools; Universal Gospel Education Centre, Englebert School, Ghana Atomic Energy Commission Basic Schools, Flagstaff House Basic School and Airport Police Primary A & B Schools, participated in the Community Bee. Ten out of the forty five participating spellers qualified for the next stage, the Accra Regional Spelling Bee Finals, scheduled for Tuesday 19th November 2013 at the Christ The King School.
An address read on behalf of the General Manager of Multichoice Ghana, Cecil Sunkwa Mills, stated “Multichoice Ghana is supporting the Spelling Bee for the third year because of its commitment to education across the continent and also because our product serves as a learning tool for both students and adults. We are proud to support the Spelling Bee which will harness your ability to be good spellers, pronouncers and speakers and so, I urge all of you to give it your best.
