Music Video: Jay Nice – Smiling Faces
Ghanaian Hip-Hop sensation, Jay Nice drops a single and video for a piece titled, ‘Smiling Faces’ which is a take off his forthcoming album, ”Trials and Tribulations”.
The song ‘Smiling Faces’ projects a fake smile and how your close friends hide behind their smiles to plot evil against each other.
The song, which has some gritty visuals was shot in his community, Shukura. The Pixel5ive directed visuals highlights two friends embracing and during this embrace, one of the friends steals something from the other’s back pocket. We see this play out in between performance shots. This powerful scene serves as a perfect accompaniment to the chorus ”smiling faces, they don’t tell the truth”.
‘Smiling Faces’ is based on Jay Nice’s true life experience with family and friends which everyone else can relate and at the same time jam to.
