Award winning Ghanaian songstress, Mzvee has admitted that she has an eye condition that makes it difficult for her to see her audience when she performs on stage.

Day 1 at the Annual Impact Round Table Discussion tagged AIRTAD 23 and Robotics competition.

In an interview on Joy Prime TV, the “Come and See My Mother” hitmaker revealed that her condition has been apparent since childhood, but she only started wearing prescription spectacles at the age of eight when her teachers instructed her parents to take precautions against her persistent eye strain.

Mzvee stated that as a result of partial blindness in her eyes, she frequently needs to strain her eyes to catch a sight of the crowd when she performs.

“I don’t see when I am performing unless I take a really good look, I am standing and stare, but not really,” she said.

Despite her condition, she admitted that it has helped her in certain ways because when she performs on stage and is unable to see the crowd, it soothes her nerves and allows her to perform without any form of anxiety.

“I don’t see when I am performing unless I take a really good look and stare, but not really. It helped me when I started music and I was very nervous about the crowd because, when I get on stage, I will not see anybody,” she added.

MzVee also revealed her condition has caused her a few embarrassing moments, such as tripping on staircases.
