InstaVoice is the first and only free voice messaging app that combines texting and voicing (voice chatting), Voice SMS, visual voicemail and missed call alerts, all in one easily navigable chat screen. The InstaVoice launch event in Accra was graced by representatives from the National Communications Authority, leading Ghanaian telecom partners, Ghanaian movie and entertainment celebrities, and media. Ghana is the first market to have the InstaVoice app, and the Ghana launch is the first in a series of launch events planned for African and global markets. Built on Kirusa Voice SMS technology, InstaVoice is the first text messaging and voicing app which is designed keeping in mind the needs of both smartphone and feature phone users; InstaVoice users can send messages to non-InstaVoice users, who receive voice messages as a Voice SMS. Mobile users in Ghana can download the InstaVoice app for free from the Google Play Store, and experience an easy-to-use app which combines Voice SMS and chatting for the first time. An iOS app for iPhones will be available soon. Speaking on the launch, Mrinal Roy, Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer, Airtel Ghana, states, “InstaVoice makes it so easy to send and listen to voice messages, that we believe it is going to create a culture of ‘voicing’ in Ghana. We believe technology should be used to make life simple, InstaVoice with the ability for smartphone and feature phone users to communicate seamlessly & bringing all the voice and text offers from Kirusa into one GUI is an impressive innovation in that direction. We’re excited that Kirusa has chosen Ghana as the first market for InstaVoice.” The InstaVoice app goes far beyond what any of the mobile messaging apps currently in the market can do. It is the only app that allows users to view and respond to text and voice messages, Voice SMSs, visual voicemails, and missed call alerts from within one screen. InstaVoice also enables users to record voice or text notes, and share them instantly with other users on social networks like Facebook, Twitter, and Vobolo. Uche Ofodile, Chief Marketing Officer, Vodafone Ghana, adds, “Vodafone Ghana is excited to be associated with yet another industry innovation in Africa. We teamed up with Kirusa in 2012 as part of our strategy to lead the way in bringing innovative services to our customers and this partnership is reaping rewards. With this latest innovation, our customers can record and share voice notes with the InstaVoice app. Our customers can also keep track of their incoming and outgoing Voice SMS (including voicemail) and send instant messages to their contacts. They can also connect to Facebook & Twitter and post comments or voice notes. InstaVoice will help our customers connect emotionally with their friends and family by directly using their voices in messages.” Inderpal Singh Mumick, CEO, Kirusa, shared his vision. “Kirusa has always believed in connecting people through the power of voice. I am excited to launch InstaVoice, an extraordinary app that makes voicing as easy as texting, while bringing all your Voice SMSs, voicemails, and missed calls together into a single chat on a single screen. Further, he added, “Working with our partners, the leading telecoms of Ghana, who share our vision for communications and social media in the mobile world, and consistent with our commitment to Africa, we are delighted to have launched InstaVoice in Ghana as our very first market.”]]>
