Silverbird Weija, a new 3D cinema branch of the Silverbird Cinemas serving Ghanaians with a repertoire of blockbuster movies has been officially open on  with the premiere of Robocop in 3D. Though the cinemas have been operating since the end of December 2013, the launch event marked the official opening of the cinemas.

Mr. Albert Adomako Mensah, Director, Commercial and Special Projects for Global Media Alliance commented in an interview that “having operated in Ghana for the past five years from the Accra Mall, we decided to open a branch of the Silverbird cinemas at Weija so we could serve our customers who reside in and around Weija. Happily, they would be enjoying the unique 3D movie experience, which is the first of its kind in Ghana”.

He further added that “aside the cinemas, Silverbird Weija also has a lounge and Ghana’s first 9D Games arcade. We have designed our facilities to cater and deliver memorable experiences for individuals, families and corporate organizations”.

The launch event is sponsored by Cocacola, Graham Beck Wines, Samsung and Starbite and present was Ben Murray-Bruce serves as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Silverbird Group.
