<![CDATA[ So I caught up with DTP’s Lil Fate recently when Ludacris and his Disturbing the Peace crew came to Ghana to perform at the Vodafone 020 Live concert. Lil Fate who had arrived into Ghana a few hours earlier commented that he was loving the city of Accra: “it’s not as hot as I thought it would be, the weather feels great. Everytime I come to Africa it’s great and I’m loving Ghana,” he said. When I asked him how it feels to be caught up in the tag of being a hype man for Ludacris, he said he had gotten used to it. “The hype man stigma is there because, yeah I back up my hommie and my hommie backs me up. So when I perform my record on stage in Ghana, Ludcaris will back me. How dope is that?” And indeed, Ludacris didn’t only introduce Lil Fate to Ghanaian on stage but backed him through his performance of records that were unknown to the Ghanaian crowd. https://ameyawdebrah.com/cover-girl-peace-hyde-talks-marriage-new-koko-magazine/ Lil Fate has his first major album coming up later in October. I had a quick chat with him about the project and it appears there will be a whole lot of ‘playa stuff’ on there. What’s the title of the album? The project is called ‘Playas Night Out’ and it’s out October 30. It’s a whole bunch of playa music; a whole bunch of playa stuff going on and it should be online from October 30. How many tracks are on it and do you have guest appearances on it? There are 14 songs with a couple of guest appearances. Ludacris is on there, 2Chainz is on there, and Bobby V is on there. There’s a whole bunch of swag; a whole bunch of money talking on there and a whole bunch of playa stuff is on there. Money, drugs and women, is that what hiphop is all about? I don’t know what hiphop is all about anymore but I know what I am about. Every night I go out, I tend to have a playa’s night out; I tend to have a lot of drinks, beautiful women and enjoying my life. It’s real to me, and the people who are like me or relate with me and wanna see my life. https://ameyawdebrah.com/watch-afia-schwarzenegger-talks-first-time-scandal-says-disappointed-ghanaians/ I could have taken them somewhere else; everybody goes to the hood but I didn’t want to go there with my first time out. So I wanna keep it really playa; ask people to put on their nice clothes to come out and have fun; no violence, just having fun. So that’s what you can expect from my CD because that’s what I am selling. I went from the hype man and its celebration time. This is my first project and I have been around since the beginning, so I am the person you look at and know it can still happen; so you gotta keep working hard . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmFqk6JTfFw]]>
