Recoded: GCB Bank launches newly enhanced mobile bank App

GCB Bank PLC, a leading financial institution in Ghana has unveiled its latest innovation in the form of an enhanced mobile banking app, solidifying its commitment to providing convenient and secure banking solutions for its customers. 

The launch of the enhanced mobile banking up dubbed ‘Recoded’ marks a significant step forward in GCB’s digital transformation journey, harnessing technology to empower users with a seamless and efficient banking experience.

Recoded, which replaces the current App, comes with more exciting features. Described as “a superbly enhanced tool which offers a great customer experience”, the enhanced GCB App can be navigated effortlessly by customers to access its offerings. It also introduces advanced security measures, ensuring the safety of sensitive financial information. 

According to the financial institution, the enhanced App has been carefully developed to provide convenience to customers while ensuring the safety of investments. The app, which can be installed on any smartphone or tablet, will enable users to open accounts, make deposits and start investments from the comfort of their homes or offices.

Speaking at the Launch of the ‘Recoded App’ in Accra on Tuesday, December 13, 2023, the Managing Director of GCB Bank PLC, Kofi Adomakoh revealed that the bank has researched and studied what its customers want and has gone back to the drawing board to create a mobile app which is easy to use as well as very convenient.

“This app has taken time and a lot of research has been built around our customers, our Discerning customers and what their needs are. We have put data together, we have studied what our customers want, we’ve gone back to the drawing board and we’ve created an app that is easy to use, very convenient, and gives you so much options and value. 

“It gives you freedom and liberates you financially. With this app, if you’re a GCB client or even a prospective customer of GCB, if you download this app it gives you a new breath of Life. There is no app like what we have and this is the first version. There are many more interesting things to happen next year,” he said.

The MD, continued by saying; “Recoded is now rated as the best app on the Ghanaian market, with over 100,000 downloads. It comes with a lot of menu options to choose from; offering inclusive services, ease of use and is reloaded with rich features.

He further emphasized that this development is for the public to know that management of the bank listens to them as it seeks to combine physical branches with technology to extend banking into areas where the bank has no offices.

With a user-friendly interface, customers can now navigate through various banking services with ease, from checking account balances to conducting swift and secure transactions.
