Just in time to heat up summer playlists, emerging singer/rapper/songwriter Ryan Trey (#JUSTAREGULARLABEL/Interscope Records) dropped the smooth single “Only Us,” with Detroit standout Babyface Ray and its official music video today.

In the video, Ryan asserts his dedication to his girl from initial sparks of romance at a daytime group hangout to Ryan and his lady on a solo adventure as he charms her with his witty lyrics and unique flow. The video’s homegrown, natural aspect shines as it flips between shots seemingly from home movies like with budding relationship.

Babyface Ray slides in like a seasoned wingman, detailing his own POV in his verse to assist Ryan’s setup. The video was directed by Mac Grant, who has also helmed clips for JID, 21 Savage, YFN Lucci, EARTHGANG and Rapsody.

“Only Us” sustains the building momentum for Ryan Trey, which began with the titillating video for “Slide.” In that video, directed by Joshua Valle, Ryan seeks an escape after a fallout with his girlfriend and ventures to the strip club with his boys. There, a bodacious dancer catches his eye and lures him to the bar, and, despite his girlfriend’s pleas via text, Ryan gets a private dance and remains at the club for the night. A drunken Ryan finds himself in a daze, thinking he sees his girlfriend at the club when in reality, it’s the dancer who caught his attention. Watch “Slide” HERE.

“Slide” appears on Ryan’s breakthrough release, A 64 East Saga. The 14-track EP houses a collaboration with Bryson Tiller, and the production from a slew of heavyweights, including Boi1da, Vinylz, Jahaan Sweet, OG Parker, Rob Halladay and Albert Lee, allows Ryan’s dulcet vocals and steely wordplay to thrive. The project garnered positive reviews from publications such as Billboard, which billed him a “threatening combo artist within the independent circuit.” Thanks to the project, Ryan has soared to over 120 million streams in the U.S. alone.

Beyond the music world, Ryan continues to up his brand in the fashion game. Earlier this year, BAPE and Reebok announced their new collaboration on the sneaker’s Club C and Instapump Fury featuring #JUSTAREGULARDAYS Bryson Tiller, Nia Sultana, and Ryan Trey.
