St Michael’s Specialist Hospital ; A 90 – bed private facility built by an individual

The Managing Director of Dap Motors & Trading Limited, Michael Banahene has built a 9-storey health facility named St Michael’s Specialist Hospital at Lapaz in Accra.

The St Michael’s Specialist Hospital is an ultra-modern hospital resourced with advanced equipments.

The health facility has spacious offices to accommodate doctors and nurses, cafeteria, children’s play ground and waiting area for visitors.

The facility is expected to offer general and specialist medical care, such as cardiac care, day surgery, hemodialysis, General Outpatient Consultations, CT-scanning, X-ray and General Ultrasound Services Full, Laboratory Services, Catering Services, Laundry Services and more.

According to Media personality, Nana Aba Anamoah, Michael Banahene was motivated to build the hospital some years back when his son was ill and almost every public hospital he was referred to failed to attend to them because there was no bed.

“When his son was suddenly taken ill a few years ago, almost every public hospital he was referred to claimed there were no beds. A troubled Michael Banahene decided to build a hospital after that overwhelmingly sad episode. He chose to develop the hospital at Lapaz, the neighborhood that birthed his hustle. Michael is a member of the East Legon Executive Club,” Nana Aba said at the opening.
