The corruption that has infiltrated into music nowadays needs to be discussed- Reggie Rockstone
Legendary Ghanaian rapper, Reggie Rockstone, has bemoaned the level of corruption that has crept into the Ghanaian music industry.
According to the “grandpapa” of hiplife music, music streams have been infiltrated, and as such, the numbers some artistes project are not organic, but bought.
Reggie Rockstone made this assessment while speaking on Cape Coast’s Property FM.
“The huge number of streams some musicians get are sometimes not genuine because they have streaming farms. The corruption that has infiltrated into music nowadays is a whole topic for another day that we need to discuss,” he expressed.

The “Plan Ben” hitmaker further lamented on the loss musicians are making at the expense of digital streaming platforms. The “Rockz Waakye” owner believes owners of these platforms are ripping artistes all in the name of music sales.
“The white people are really enjoying our money out of the digital streaming platforms they’ve created like Spotify and the rest. They’re really spending our money, and they always find a new way to rip, so we have a lot of things that we have to look at,” he lamented.
