There will be no heartbreaks if people embrace being truthful in relationships – Teni

Famed Nigerian singer and songwriter, Teniola Apata, professionally known as Teni has offered a refreshing perspective on relationships, advocating for the transformative power of truthfulness in matters of the heart. 

According to her, dishonesty in relationships is one of the major reasons for the current surge in heartbreaks. She claims that a lot of people lie too much and are very dishonest with their partners.

The ‘Case’ crooner opined that a foundation built on honesty fosters trust and transparency between partners, creating a robust emotional connection.

Teni further averred that more people should be honest with themselves too by knowing their place and not overestimating their importance in other people’s lives. She encouraged people to say the truth, as she admits there are some people who cannot handle the truth.

“It is because people don’t like telling the truth, that is why there are heartbreaks. You have not been asked out but in your head you are in a relationship, but you will be angry seeing them with other people.

“Relax, If they are told the truth, they can resort to violent measures because of the information received so it is best to not be honest with such individuals,” she said.
