TV Buzz: DStv to air final season of Breaking Bad from August 25

M-Net has done it again! The pay-tv provider has secured the exclusive rights to air the final episodes of Breaking Bad.  DStv viewers can watch the critically acclaimed series almost simultaneously with other viewers in the U.S.A.. The first episode of the final season of Breaking Bad airs on Sunday 25 August at 22:30 on M-Net Series Showcase channel 113 on DStv.

This award winning series is broadcast in the United States of America, Canada, and DStv viewers will watch this strong contender for the 2013 Emmy Nominated drama series just 14 days after its screening in the U.S.A.

The series has won seven Primetime Emmy Awards—including three consecutive wins for Best Actor for Cranston, two wins for Best Supporting Actor for Paul, and four nominations for Outstanding Drama Series. Breaking Bad is the riveting story of Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a struggling high school chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer at the beginning of the series. Facing a prospect of financial ruin, he turns to a life of crime, as he produces and sells methamphetamine with former student, Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul).

This remarkable series has been nominated in nine categories of the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series, Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series  and Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series.
