<![CDATA[At around 1.30 am on Friday, two armed robbers broke into the story building apartment where Noella Wiyaala, a Vodafone Icons winner in 2012 with Black N Peach, lives. The robbers, who were armed, fired shots at their targets including Wiyaala, but luckily none of the shots hit her or her manager, Mr Jonathan Paul Sherren. Both had returned from a late night rehearsal.
Numbering two, they however managed to do away with a wallet containing around GHC 200, a driving license and an ATM card. The driving license and ATM card were later found few metres away from the apartment. The incident was reported to the Golf City Police Station who subsequently recovered two bullets from the scene. The suspects are on the run.
“I thought I was living a bad dream and it took some few seconds to realize what was really happening. I wanted to do something, but they had guns. I can only thank God that no one was harmed,” Wiyaala recounted her sad ordeal.
