“We saw it coming”- Camidoh reacts to song climbing to the No.1 spot in Apple Music Nigeria

Ameyaw TV caught up with Camidoh at the recently held Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) and the singer revealed that he and his team were not totally surprised when the remix to his hit single “Sugarcane” climbed unto the number spot on Apple Music 100, Nigeria.

On May 5, Camidoh’s fans celebrated as ‘Sugarcane Remix’ featuring King Promise, Mayorkun & Darkoo climbed to the number  one song in Nigeria on Apple Music. 

Although the song did not stay at the top spot for long, it was still a big feat worth celebrating.

Reacting to the achievement in an interview with Ameyaw TV, Camdioh stated that he and his team saw it coming because Mayorkun, who is featured on the song, was very supportive in promoting it.

“I was happy because I knew it was going to come. We actually saw it coming because of how supportive Mayorkun had been in Nigeria. We’ve been pushing in all angles so when it came we were like yes, we did it, lets jump on to the next one,” he told Ameyaw TV host Zeinat.

Meanwhile, the video for “Sugarcane” remix is underway as Camdioh, Mayorkun and King Promise were spotted recently on a set shooting.
