Singer Wendy Shay has debunked claims that she was throwing shades at her critics in her new song titled ‘Stevie Wonder’ featuring Shatta Wale.

The Rufftown records signee have been criticized for the lyrics of her latest song which seems like a shade to her critics.

Speaking in an interview on e.TV Ghana’s ‘The Late Night Celebrity Show’, the ‘Uber driver’ hitmaker stated that ‘I wasn’t throwing shots’.

According to her, ‘i was just trying to tell people that God has been good to me. The Title Stevie Wonder because, he is visually impaired and he is a living legend. But whenever he comes on stage to perform, he does not see anybody because he is blind and still gives his 100 percent and that is me right there. Wendy Shay is Stevie Wonder in this context”. She said.

Wendy added: “God has brought me this far so I don’t see whatever haters or people who don’t really like what I am doing do or say. I still give my 100 percent to whatever I do by giving them hitz songs,” she said.
