Rapper, Deeba loses extradition appeal, set to go on trial in UK

deebaThe Fast Track High Court has rescinded its earlier order for the Director-General of the Prisons Service and the Attorney-General to produce Deeba Acheampong, a hiplife artiste, in court for his appeal filed before the court to be heard. This was after the court had struck out the appeal filed by Acheampong, on the grounds that it had been overtaken by events. (more…)


The Dilly Dally: Court Orders for rapper Deeba to be brought back to Ghana

Deeba-41The Fast Track High Court yesterday ordered the Director-General of the Ghana National Prisons Service (GNPS) and the Attorney-General to bring back Deeba Acheampong, a hiplife artiste, from the United Kingdom for his appeal filed before the court to be heard. That was after counsel for Acheampong, Mr Augustine Obuor, had told the court that his client had been extradited to the United Kingdom. (more…)


No Extradiction: Rapper Deeba’s case adjourned to May 14

deebaThe Osu Magistrate Court has adjourned the extradition case against Deeba Acheampong, a Ghanaian musician facing charges of defilement and assault to May 14, 2013.┬áDeeba is accused of defiling and assaulting his two step daughters in the United Kingdom. The court presided over by Mr. Aboagye Tandoh could not sit on the case due to circumstance beyond his control. (more…)
