C.E.O and Founder of The Finest Productions, Kwasi Kyei Darko (KKD) has said that the rape incident in 2014 has revealed to him who his real friends are.

In 2014, a  19-year-old woman, Ms Ewuraffe Orleans Thompson accused the media icon, KKD, of rape.

Ms Thompson, said the incident happened in a suite at the African Regent Hotel on December 27, 2014 when the accused invited her to help him powder his face.

KKD denied raping her but admitted having consensual sex with her. Reports however emerged a few weeks after that the alleged victim had withdrawn her complaint against the broadcaster after his case for bail was adjourned to Thursday, January 15.

Speaking in an interview with Ameyaw TV at the launch of Luxuria Lifestyle in Accra, KKD stated that the incident opened his eyes to who his real friends were.

“It’s helped me see which people I thought were friends who were not… so I’m a happier man now…because the good thing is one the wise who knew already, have been born to be right but the foolish who pretended not to know have all come to see, so it was all a lie. And now I can look into the eyes of people and say you are a snake.”
