Watch: Ghanaians in Germany chant FixTheCountry at Akufo-Addo on his arrival
President Nana Akufo-Addo is currently out of the country on a weeklong official visit to Germany at the request of Chancellor Angela Merkel.
On his arrival at the venue for the meeting, some Ghanaians waiting outside the venue started chanting the popular #FixTheCountry slogan.
In a video that is circulating online, the protesters can be heard saying;
“Nana we love you , fix country, Nana fix the country we beg you, Nana fix the country so we can come back home, fix the country, we are not a poor country, please Nana.”

During the one-week visit in Germany, Nana Akufo-Addo is expected to hold a meeting with officials of Pfizer-BioNTech, a Covid-19 vaccine manufacturer to discuss the establishment of a National Vaccine Institution in Ghana and procurement of more Pfizer vaccine to improve Ghana’s vaccination drive.
