“Unpleasant lyrics” from Sarkodie and others has negatively affected my career/brand – Patapaa

Over the last few weeks, Ghanaian musician, Patapaa has on several platforms, launched several attacks on Sarkodie for name-calling him on a song.

The “One Corner” hitmaker who is not stopping the attacks on the award-winning rapper till he gets an apology from him, states that Sarkodie’s “unpleasant” lyrics about him has caused a dent in his image.

According to Patapaa, he has lost some ambassadorial roles because of Sark’s comments.

“People have said all kinds of things against me following my comments on Sarkodie but they fail to recognize the damage he has caused my brand. I have lost ambassadorial deals due to some of the wordplays in his songs and for me that is unfair,” he told GNA.

He continued; “I have lost the respect of many people in the industry due to some unpleasant lyrics used on me by other artistes and has had a negative effect on my career which has stalled my progress as a musician.

“My family and friends also feel aggrieved with some unpleasant words used on me and sometimes I feel the music industry is unfair to me,” he added.

Patapaa has since called on his colleagues in the industry to accord him some respect.
