Ghanaian actress, Efia Odo has questioned why she owns a Television set because all television channels in Ghana show are telenovelas and pastors praying.

The actress, who is starring in a new reality TV series titled, ‘My African Love’ lamented on Twitter on November,6, that not a lot of Ghanaian content are shown on Ghanaian TV.

According to her, there are more Nigerian movies shown on Ghanaian television than Ghanaian movies.

“Gh channels are full of pastors praying and Chinese/Telenovela dramas in twi. They show more Nigerian movies than Ghanaians (no hate to Nigerians but I’ve never seen a Ghanaian movie on Nigerian television). If not for streaming platforms I would’ve questioned why I even have a tv,” she tweeted.

“It’s annoying,One thing I hate seeing is the India telenovelas or movies, especially the ones with twi translations, oh Ghana, we take someone’s movie and translate the language from either English or whatever language into twi so that our locals can understand so y not do same.”
