A video of how Joy FM’S Maxwell Agbagba took off his shirt on live TV to celebrate the only girl at the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz Finals has popped up online.
During Joy TV’s news bulletin ahead of the finals hosted by renowned  broadcaster Israel Laryea, he crossed over to the journalist who was on the ground reporting ahead of the grand finale.

The journalist who was wearing a long sleeves shirt with a white Ketasco t-shirt underneath it took off the shirt revealing the inscription Dzo Lali(Jump now) – motto of Keta Secondary School. He justified his action in his report and said it was for affirmative action and also to celebrate women in STEM( Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.) He said it was also to celebrate her for being the only woman on the stage at the finals which featured Presec Legon and Prempeh College.

Francisca Lamini has been hailed as the first woman from the Volta Region to be on the Grand Finale stage of the National Science and Maths Quiz. In the whole of Ghana, the last time a woman was on the stage for the finals was eight years ago when Mfantsiman Girls managed to reach the Finals.
