<![CDATA[Last year 2012, the first edition of Miss Nigeria Ghana was held for the Nigerian young women living or schooling in Ghana. It was a huge success, powered by Nigerian Eye newspaper and Delight Communications and proudly sponsored by Adentan.com, City People magazine, Laak consult, City Lights, and others. Renowned world photographer Chuks Ineh was the official Miss Nigeria Ghana photographer.
The event witnessed a young dynamic beautiful Nigerian woman by name Amaka Okosieme emerge victoriously as the first Miss Nigeria Ghana in history.
Her path to victory was filled with challenges, despair and discouragement, nevertheless she persisted. In her own words it was prayer that gave her the opportunity to be Queen and Mss Nigeria Ghana 2012.
She embarked on breast cancer awareness using the media, working with groups and NGOs. Her tenure is gradually coming to an end as efforts are geared towards who will replace her and wear the coveted crown as Miss Nigeria Ghana 2013.
The forms for the 2013 Miss Nigeria Ghana was released to all the key higher institutions in Ghana- University of Ghana, Zenith university College Ghana, Wisconsin University College Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, All nations University, Knustford University College, Radsford University College etc where Nigerians are being educated in great number.
The response was unbelievable because the ladies knew that the Miss Nigeria Ghana beauty pageant is a reality and that the winner goes home with a brand new car.
The auditions were held and 35 extraordinary beautiful Nigerian damsels emerged. They will compete vigorously for who replaces the current Miss Nigeria Ghana 2012 Amaka Okosieme as the second Nigerian beauty ambassador in Ghana.
Congratulations to all finalists in the journey to the most prestigious crown in Nigeria Community in Ghana.
The theme for this year is: Beauty Made in Nigeria and when the new queen will be crowned whoever she is will be continuing the breast cancer awareness from where her predecessor stopped.
