Win USD 5,000 in the UBA National Essay Competition

The United Bank for Africa (UBA) Foundation is still receiving entries from interested Senior High School students for the 2022 edition of the National Essay Competition.  Participants stand the chance of winning up to USD 5,000 to support their tertiary education.

Students are encouraged to partake in the ongoing competition to develop and improve their writing skills.

The topic for this year is “Sports Betting has become rampant amongst the youths in the country. What can the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Gaming Commission do to regulate the activities of under-aged persons participating in sports betting”.

The Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at UBA Ghana, Henry Nii Dottey says, “The National Essay Competition is a fabulous opportunity for young ones to think critically and develop their cognitive and writing skills. We still have some days to go and are calling on senior high students across the country to share their views on the topic. Entries can be submitted through the UBA website www.ubaghana.com or dropped off at any UBA Branch countrywide.”

The National Essay Competition entries will be evaluated by some lecturers in prominent Universities in Ghana.
