“More Of You”: Stonebwoy set to drop first single off much-anticipated album

Produced by renowned music producers SupaDups, IzzyAreUKiddinMe and Cresso, the love-themed afropop song will be the third new release from the Ghana-based reggae, dancehall & afrobeats artiste since joining Universal Music Group/DefJam Record in May 2022, following September’s self-affirmative single “Gidigba” (Firm & Strong), which was produced by Phantom.

The announcement comes on the heels of recent news that his fifth full-length album is arriving in March.

Since releasing 2020’s critically acclaimed “Anloga Junction” album, the multi-award-winning composer and performer has been busy on the road working on a new album—details pending—for about two years. Recently, Stonebwoy shared photos and videos of him in France on social media, which were reported to be excerpt from an official visuals for a record with Grammy Award-winning singer, Angelique Kidjo.

Stonebwoy has blazed a trail as one of Africa’s most awarded and lauded artists to date. The recipient of some high-end awards such as Best International Act: Africa at the BET Awards, Reggae and Dancehall Artist of the Year at the Ghana Music Awards, 4 x AFRIMMA winner, Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award winner and two Billboard plaques, he has duetted with some high-calibre artists such as Keri Hilson, Sean Paul, Trey Songz, Burna Boy, Alpha Blondie and many more.

Davido To Headline Second Annual Tribeville Featuring Wande Coal, Young John & More

Tribeville returns to The Lawn at White Oak Music Hall in Houston, Texas on Friday, July 5 for its second annual edition. Headlined by Afrobeats king Davido, the music festival from acclaimed event promoter and production company Duke Concept is a celebration of Black music from around the world united under one tribe.

In addition to Davido’s headlining performance, Tribeville will host fellow Nigerian acts Wande Coal and Young John, Grenadian singer V’ghn, Trinidadian soca artist Preedy, Nigerian singer-songwriter Chike, Afrorap act Bils, Alté group The Compozers, and South African rapper Focalistic, along with DJ sets by Skyla Tylaa, Babygirl The DJ, DJ Mobu, DJ Obi & DJ Big N, and many more.

Tribeville launched its inaugural edition in April 2023 with a lineup featuring Adekunle Gold, Oxlade, Victony, Libianca, and more. Returning this year, Tribeville follows Duke Concept’s first-ever all-Ghanaian music festival Rolling Cocoa in Washington, D.C. and Davido’s monumental headline stop at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Tribeville will continue Duke Concept’s mission to bring the vibrant flavors of Africa and the Caribbean to stages across the U.S. and beyond.

Burna Boy Breaks Several Milestones on Apple Music

The highly anticipated concert by Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy, slated for June 9th at the Johan Cruyff Arena Stadium in the Netherlands, has been called off.

Burna Boy personally relayed the disappointing news via his Instagram account, citing the event organizers’ failure to uphold their part of the agreement as the reason behind the cancellation.

Expressing his regret over the situation, Burna Boy assured fans that ticket holders would receive full refunds directly from their original point of purchase within the next 30 days.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, May, 2, 2024 the ‘On the low’ hitmaker emphasized the importance of fulfilling contractual obligations and thanked his fans for their support, signing off with a message of love and anticipation for future gatherings.

“We regret to inform you that due to a failure by the event organisers to meet their contracted obligations, Burna Boy’s concert at the stadium on June 9th 2024 has been cancelled.

“All ticket buyers will be refunded from the point of purchase within 30 days. Love you and see you soon,” he wrote.
