With Just few days to the biggest annual awards event in Ghana (Vodafone Ghana Music Awards), Ghanaian gospel diva, Piesie Esther has disclosed that she is not terrified by the various artistes she has been nominated in the same categories with.

According to her, she is in no competition with any gospel musician who in diverse ways has been nominated for the 24th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) which comes off on May 6.

Speaking in an interview on the GTV Breakfast Show on April 25, 2023, the ‘Ziba’ crooner divulged that, “I am not terrified seeing them nominated for the same category as me because we are brothers and sisters doing the same work of our maker.”

The renowned singer, who has been trending since the release of her latest inspirational song ‘W’ aye me yiye’, to a greater extent made known that wasn’t surprised after being nominated in seven different categories including the biggest category (Artiste of the year) because she believes it is the will and plan of God.

Peisie Esther added that she is aiming to emerge as the best songwriter of the year emphasizing that she knew ‘Waye me yie’ would go far and it has, and she is grateful to God for that.
The celebrated gospel musician concluded that even if she doesn’t emerge as winner in all the categories she’s been nominated for, she is still a winner because having been nominated for these categories means she is a winner and the work she has been doing for twenty years is paying off.
