Jnr Pope betrayed me – Yul Edochie opens up on ‘beef’ with late actor

Nigerian actor and movie director, Yul Edochie has revealed a previously unknown conflict with his late colleague, Junior Pope.

The thespian disclosed this rift in an Instagram post on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, just days after being criticized for not attending Junior Pope’s funeral on Friday, May 17.

In his post, the controversial actor explained that he chose to remain silent about the matter out of respect for the deceased, intending to speak only after the funeral. He recounted how he and Junior Pope were once good friends before a disagreement caused a rift between them.

“I didn’t want to say anything until his burial. I know many asked why I wasn’t there or why I haven’t said anything about it. I took him like a brother and good friend. I was there for him when he needed me, but he stabbed me in the back, repeatedly,” he wrote .

Yul further mentioned that he plans to disclose the full details of their conflict soon, hoping that others might learn from their experience.
