1Sunday night’s eviction show on the Big Brother Amplified reality TV series saw Mozambique’s Michael evicted from the competition while Namibia’s Bernadina was evicted from the Heads House to the Tails House after getting the second least amount of votes from across Africa.

It was the second time that Ghana’s Confidence and Nigeria’s Vina had escaped eviction although again it was a very narrow escape for Confidence as again she only had one ‘country vote’ from Ghana. There was a three-way tie for last place. Confidence, Bernadina and Michael received one country vote each. For this reason the tie-breaking mechanism was used. On a percentage basis, Confidence was safe for a second time. Here is how Africa voted:

Vina: 6 country votes – Angola, Ethiopia, Botswana, Nigeria, South Africa and the Rest of Africa (27.8%)

Sharon O: 6 country votes – Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia and Zimbabwe (22.7%)

Confidence: 1 country vote – Ghana (19.3%)

Bernadina: 1 country vote – Namibia (17.3%)

Michael: 1 country vote – Mozambique (12.6%)

Just on the heels of eviction, Monday evening saw a new set of nominations for eviction this Sunday in the Tails House.  Ernest and Luclay were the common denominators in the Tails House Nominations on Monday morning. Nic was the only one to have Nominated Luclay and Ernest at the same time. He supported his choice by saying the two were bringing distress in the House and making it impossible for the rest of the Tailsmates to co-exist.

Other Housemates had either Luclay and Ernest paired with another Housemate as their Nominees. The only Tailsmates to have dodged the bullets were Nic and Alex. None of the Housemates mentioned them as the people they wanted Evicted. Danny, as Head of House, managed to get nominated by one person – Mumba. She struggled to come up with an argument to back up her selection.

Karen and Alex nominated Ernest and Bhoke at the same time, while Kim nominated Karen and Luclay at the same time. These two were the only visible attempts to break alliances.Ernest managed six nominations while Luclay had five. Since entering the Tails House they have been at each other’s throats, hurling insults at any opportunity that presented itself. The tensions appeared to be dividing the House into two, as each of them sized up Housemates for signs of loyalty.

In what was definitely the most tense ‘Save and Replace’ decision since the game started, Ethiopia’s Danny helped give his buddy Luclay another shot at the game.

When asked to make his decision, he seemed certain of who he was going to save, but had a bit of difficulty picking a candidate to put on the chopping block. After stalling, Big Brother asked him to make his decision. “I will put Miss P up instead,” he said.

The mood in the House was tense as the Tails waited for their fate. When Bhoke’s name was called out, she took a sip of the wine she had in her hand, probably to calm shot nerves. Luclay was emotionless and sat there staring at his nails.

When Ernest was called out, he had a panicked expression on his face but managed to keep it together. The other Tailsmates seemed a bit uncomfortable also, because they will only get to know who Danny saved during the Live Eviction show on Sunday.

When Danny walked into the room after making his decision, he exclaimed “You don’t have to worry, I saved all of you!” Karen, who the majority of the Housemates had altercations with this week, was surprisingly not on the list of possible Evictees.

“Maybe it’s because I’ve been behaving this week,” she mused as she sat outside. This effectively means it could be the end of the road for Ernest, Bhoke or Miss P this week!
