Ghanaian singer, Kelvin Agyekum, known by the stage name Kurl Songx has opened up about the emotional genesis of his latest track “911,” attributing its creation to an unfortunate heartbreak experience in his last relationship.

The artist, known for his soulful voice and emotive lyrics, bared his soul as he shared the intimate details that fueled the inspiration behind the poignant track.

The ‘Jennifer Lomotey’ hitmaker, while Speaking in an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, disclosed that the breakup made him do a lot of things including selling his air conditioner out of frustration.

“My new song is titled 911 because I have gotten a broken heart — to the extent that I have sold my air conditioner. As for a broken heart, some people dey chop, so for me to sell my air conditioner, it means I have truly been broken,” he narrated.

Kurl further disclosed that the ex-girlfriend who broke his heart is a popular TikTok influencer. However, he refused to disclose her identity. The music sensation went on to state that the relationship they had was more of a private one since it wasn’t known to most individuals.

“She is popular on TikTok, therefore, when she left me, it pained me. In my circle, yes, for someone who likes to keep his things private, it was kept between us,” he added.

Kelvin  also made known that all attempts to reconcile with his ex-girlfriend proved futile
