Controversial Ghanaian rapper, A-Plus has explained that he didn’t carelessly flash out a gun at the Omotuo Party in Tema, as was reported Sunday evening. According to the rapper, he felt threatened by the crowd that had surrounded him and his friends, hence brandished his friend’s gun to forestall any ambush.  It was reported that just about 10 meters away from the main stage for the party, A-plus wielded his firearm which resulted in a stampede injuring at least 10 people.

A-Plus has explained: “We went there as usual to eat; we did not even know that some party was going on there.  I was with Praye, Ruff N Sooth and Mframa, when I realized that my boy ‘Kofi Babone’ and some other guys were fighting. So I rushed to the scene and separated them. Then I moved to the guys and begged them not to fight. Before I realized another boy had slapped another one of my boys, Max.”

He continues: “Max has a registered gun so he pulled out the gun. I rushed to Max and took the gun from him because at that point he was ready to kill somebody, and these boys were plenty. So I had to scare them with the gun and move my boys away. If I had not taken the gun from Max he was going to kill somebody.”
