Africa Data Centres and Onix Data Centre have formed a strategic partnership to expand their data center footprint in West Africa, with a primary focus on Ghana. 

This collaboration aims to enhance digital infrastructure, ensuring data sovereignty by keeping data within national borders, and improving performance with locally hosted data. 

By leveraging innovative technologies and sustainable practices, the partnership promises world-class facilities that meet international standards, similar to those used by global tech giants.

Dr. Krishnan Ranganath, Regional Executive for West Africa at Africa Data Centres, emphasized, “Our collaboration with Onix Data Centre allows us to leverage innovative technologies and sustainable practices, enhancing our ability to serve the West African market effectively.”

The partnership also emphasizes resilience, reducing reliance on international submarine cables, and ensuring continuity of services during disruptions. 

With the involvement of UniCloud Africa, the collaboration supports both large organizations and SMEs, driving economic growth and digital transformation in the region, noted Ladi Okuneye, CEO of UniCloud Africa.
