African Food and Drinks Festival: Accra to host one of Africa’s Biggest Food Festival

By 11am, on Easter Monday, 18th April 2022, African Food Network intends to take thousands of food lovers on a culinary journey across the continent – from Accra to Nairobi, from Cape Town to Lagos. The African Food and Drinks Festival is fast becoming one of the biggest festivity of contemporary African cuisine and culture. Amidst sounds coming from the stage by your favorite acts, the gentle murmur of the crowd, sizzling of the cooking and the wafting barbecue fumes, people scattered around the venue sipping and eating, you’ll also have the opportunity to watch and learn from celebrated chefs, taste a range of African foods in the heart of Accra.

Hosted at the EFUA SUTHERLAND PARK by African Food Network in partnership with TV3, the upcoming African Food and Drinks Festival promised to be exciting fusion of food, comedy, music, and art, power-packed with culture, diversity, flavorful tastes, entertainment, and the simplicity of jubilant vibes our continent must share.

At the location, an array of fun and mouth-watering delicacies will be made available by various food vendors and African restaurants from Ghana and all over Africa displaying all kinds of tantalizing menu. Along with tastings, demonstrations, and mini-cooking lessons, bites, and sips from a dynamic selection of Ghana’s up and coming vendors, you’ll find pop ups from African celebrity chefs, aspiring chefs, hobbyist cooks, games and activities that promises to make this festival one worth attending. Also, the kids are not left out, there would be an arena where your children and friends would have lots of fun.

The event lineup boasts of big names like Chef Jean Claude, Ghana’s TikTok star, Wesley Kesse, Ghanaian celebrity blogger, Ameyaw Debrah, Media sensation Anita Akuffo, Giovanni Caleb, Kwadwo Sheldon, the all-male catering team, Menscook among other top food influencers, chefs, food bloggers plus DJ’s, musicians, and artists and many more to make sure the festivities go long into the night.

“We’re putting African food at the fore front with this festival so there would be lots of African food & drinks display from carefully selected vendors and display from the finest chefs through our chef battles, major food bloggers & influencers with games to keep the crowd busy while getting entertained with cultural displays, performance from musicians, comedians, DJs in the region” –  Kevin confirms.

This event, organized by African Food Network, one of the largest community of African Food lovers on the internet is aimed to celebrate African culture through food.
