30 Weeks Producers

Amona Media & Communications, Get-Kinetic and The Audacity Inc have teamed up to finance and produce the film 30 Weeks, an emotional heartfelt drama written by Ghanian-American artist Yaw (Blackway) Sintim-Misa. Kevin Hackenberg (But Deliver Us From Evil) is set to direct and Rachel K. Ofori (What Death Leaves Behind) will be producing.

The story follows Lia and August, a young couple dealing with loss and immense grief. The loss forces them to face deeper issues within their relationship, including mental health. In a matter of 15 minutes the couple finds themselves pushed towards a reckoning deciding the fate of their relationship.

Yaw (Blackway) Sintim-Misa is a Grammy Nominated Artist, known for the platnium record “What’s Up Danger” from Sony’s Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. He’s excited to be making his screenwriting debut with film 30 weeks given his impressive track record as a song-writer. Yaw’s intention with this project is to explore how mental health can affect a relationship. Having a partner affected by a mental health condition can be navigated in a relationship in the event both partners have the communication skills and awareness to cope through these challenges.
