Jux on what he has in store for 2021

“I’m going to release my next album this year, so it’s more about music too. I plan to release and launch a lot of things from African Boy, like body sprays, a lot of things. Yeah. More music, more video, more clothes, more everything. This is the time that I have more time to do things. So a lot of all together, music and fashion.”

Jux on why studying in China helped push his career

“I was doing music and I was doing so good as a young star, famous, girls like you, everybody’s talking about you. And I just told myself to go back to school because I was just wondering why everything is coming from China. What is in China? So I was so excited. At the end of the day, me staying in China, now I have a number one East African brand called African Boy, merchandise, I make a lot of things. So it was not a waste of time.”

Eddie Kadi’s proverb of the week

“My proverb is very, very simple. I grew up on this. ‘Too many friends, too many problems.’ This is what my dad used to say to me every time I came home late. Yes. Every time I came to ask him for too much money, every time I got in trouble in school. If I said to him I was playing football, but instead I was trying to go and see some girl, he will look up me dead in the eye, say ‘Too many friends, too many problems.’ And you know what? That restricted me, that restricted me. It calmed me down.”
