Arise Magazine Fashion Week (Lagos) special on 53 Extra this week

This weeks 53 Extra will focus on the Arise Magazine Fashion Week held in Lagos from March 10-13. This year’s fashion show showcased the talents of about 50 designers from all over Africa, including diasporean designers from the United Kingdom and the United States.

The list included African Designers such as Alexander Amosu, Amine Bendriouich Couture and BS, Autumn Adeigbo, Angelo Van Mol, B-Side by Wale Adeyemi, Bestow Elan, Black Coffee, Bridget Awosika, Buki Akib, Bunmi Koko, Chichia, Christie Brown, Deola Sagoe, Ejiro Amos Tafiri, Eki Orleans, Eredappa, Gavin Rajah (SA), Gert-Johan Coetzee, Grey, House of Farrah, House of Nwocha, Ituen Basi, Jewel by Lisa, JIL, Jo Black Craze, Kastle Designs & Treasure Chest, KemKemStudio, Kiki Kamanu, Klûk CGDT, Korto Momolu, Lanre Da Silva Ajayi , LaQuan Smith, Lola Faturoti, Madam Wokie’s Couture, Maki Oh, Mataano, Mustafa Hassanali, Nikki Khiran Couture, NKWO, Odio Mimonet, Okunoren Twins, Pierre-Antoine Vettorello, Re Bahia, Samantha Cole, Tiffany Amber, Toju Foyeh, Tsemaye Binitie, Viv La Resistance, Vonne, Xuly.Bët and Zedeye.

The fashion show took place at The Federal Palace, Victoria Island Lagos Nigeria and was rotated between two showcase tents – The Arise Magazine tent and The THISDAY Style tent. Winning  designers will be offered the opportunity to attend the ARISE Magazine Fashion Gala in New York on September 14 during New York Fashion Week.

Two time Brit Awards Winner, Tinie Tempah and Award Winning International act, Estelle were also there to entertain the crowds.
