It has become an almost automatic desire for every Ghanaian rep to the Big Brother Africa reality TV series to explore a career in music. While others have succeeded to some extent others remain struggling musicians with little success to show.  Ras Woyoe, who set a record for being the least successful rep for Ghana, when he was evicted from the Big Brother House just after one week in the Big Brother Revolution, has joined the exclusive list of ‘musicians’.

The conscious Rastafarian, who promoted the ideals of Africa Unity during his stay on the reality show, has another chance to bring the continent together, this time using the ongoing 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Ras Wayo is out with a new song for the tourney which calls on Africans to unite and support the individual competing African nations. He cheers the teams on to believe that it is time for Africa to win the world cup.

Although much has not been heard of the song, in terms of airplay, Ras Wayo performed a few lines for the Metro TV sports team his week. According to him, he has only been hearing songs that support the Ghana Black Stars and as a pan-Africanist, it’s his responsibility to come out with a song that is more unifying in terms of an African purpose for the World Cup.
