Busy Signal works with Nigerian director, Olaekan Buhari on new video, “Got To Tell You”
Busy Signal continues to maintain deep ties with Africa, as well; the artist frequently visits countries such as Gambia and Zimbabwe.
He has been a “pioneer” in cultivating a particular sound, one that combines both dancehall and afro-beats. He also recently remixed Afro B-‘s popular Joanna song with “Expensive Order” which the artist featured on his Instagram.
The video, “Got To Tell You”, was directed by Unlimited LA, an award winning Nigerian director and videographer. Born Olaekan Buhari, the director was raised in Lagos and began his career as a music director.
LA learned his craft from Djtee, a popular Nigerian cinematographer, and since then has shot for multiple artists. LA has worked for BlackMagic, shooting the videos ‘Rainbow’ (2011) and ‘Repete’ (2012), and has also shot for artists such as Tillaman, Praiz, Olamide, and Sean Tizzle.
In 2015, Unlimited LA won Best Director at the Nigerian Entertainment Awards for his work. He continues to produce content that has made him an established music director in the Nigerian Music Video Industry.
