“The Optical” maintains his momentum from a series of popular 2021 drops. Most recently, “That’s OK” arrived to praise from the likes of Substream Magazine who dubbed it “exciting” and hailed his “crafty wordplay.”

Meanwhile, its predecessor “ENERGY!” lived up to its title. Of the latter, REVOLT noted, “the booming cut sees the Houston talent rapping about fraudulent activity, those speaking down on his name, and more,” while Def Pen called it “a booming return for the talented rapper” and “an easy one to gravitate to on first-listen.” HotNewHipHop proclaimed, “his energy matches the beat and there is no doubt that Wallace has a ton of confidence in himself.” KAZI. Magazine predicted, “Cam is ready to take off.”

Raised on the Northside of Houston, Cameron “Cam” Wallace is a seasoned songwriter and producer turned emcee. The following year he executive produced Slim Thug’s ‘The World Is Yours’ album.
