Reacting to the criticism, she posted a video apology, explaining that the excitement of discovering the host’s Ewe heritage had led to the insensitive joke. She affirmed her pride in her Ewe identity, stating, “This will in no way tarnish my pride as an Ewe. I have proven it in my journey over the years in that I am a proud Ewe, and absolutely nothing can change that.” Donkor promised to learn from the incident and do better in the future.
