Renowned Gospel musician, Yaw Sarpong is in “hot soup” after taking advanced payments for events and not being able to fulfil his part of the deal.
According to the singer, he and his Asomafo Group had accepted payments from four different people to perform at their funerals/engagements.

However, due to the restrictions on movement and public gatherings initiated by the President to enable contact tracing and help flatten the curve of the coronavirus pandemic, he hasn’t been able to go fulfil his end of the deal.

Speaking in an interview with Graphic Showbiz, the “Abobrase3” singer said:

“As I speak to you, about four people have made advance payments to me for their events so what am I supposed to do?” he asked.

“I have a very big funeral to perform at on May 9 so I am praying that things would have normalized by then so we can go ahead and perform.”

“For those whose money I have taken in advance and the events didn’t come off, I don’t really know what I am going to do now. “It is a very difficult situation for me. I just hope everything comes back to normal so we can go about our businesses.”
