Vodafone Ghana has revealed Nigerian music star, Dbanj – who recently signed on to US rap star Kanye West’s Good Music record label – as the pan-African star for the second editions of the Vodafone 020 Live annual concert.

The concert which is slated for the Dome of the Accra International Conference Centre on September 20 also has the winners of the maiden edition of Vodafone’s Icons music reality TV show, R&M on the bill. Other performers from Ghana include VIP, D-Cryme, Stay-J, and 5 Five.  Vodafone also revealed at the launch on Tuesday, that there would be a surprise announcement of an international music star later in the week, which already has music lovers already speculating. Stars like Chris Brown, Trey Songz and Neyo have already been linked with the concert. But which of these R&B superstars would make it to Ghana? Watch this space!

Ms Uche Ofodile, Vodafone Ghana’s Chief Marketing Officer, said this year’s event promises to be different and will bring out the biggest passion of Ghanaians, which is good music. She said it was fantastic last year but this year music fans would experience the real power in music as Vodafone partners with 4Syte TV to excite music fans and make the event grander.

Vodafone will soon announce to the public details of the ticket arrangements and also surprises for its loyal customers and new customers to secure free or discounted ticket to attend the show.
