DKB to stage stand up comedy show dubbed ‘Nothing Personal’

dkb Ghanaian comedian and Big Brother Stargame star, DKB who had an exciting reconciliation weekend with his former Big Brother housemate, Zainab is about to stage a controversial comedy show dubbed ‘Nothing Personal’. The comedian made the announce during Saturday’s 4syte Music Video Awards, when he presented the award for Best Photography. The show, he said, is a jovial response to all persons who have judged and defamed him due to his scandalous act of slapping Zainab while in the Big Brother house, his subsequent disqualifications and all other issues surrounding his stay in the reality TV show, which put him under the watchful eyes of Africa. He gave out hints about personalities on his hit list, including Abeiku Santana and Delay. He added that he would expose one other person on his radio show “Friday Night Madness” on Pravda 93.5. DKB, who was recently in the news for wanting to sue Asem for defamation in his ‘Last fylla’, promised to ‘roast’ Asem in return on ‘Nothing Personal’ scheduled for some time in December. “I was at an event making fun of myself via the lyrics in the song and joking about suing him and next thing I knew, it was all over the news that I was actually going to sue him. I would have lost the case anyway if I had pursued it because all he said are facts and there was no strand of defamation in there, besides Asem himself said in the song that it was just for fun which I played on my show; “friday night madness” on Pravda 93.5fm, so why would I want to sue him? And about roasting him, best believe he and his Adoley would not be spared”]]>

Tribeville returns to The Lawn at White Oak Music Hall in Houston, Texas on Friday, July 5 for its second annual edition. Headlined by Afrobeats king Davido, the music festival from acclaimed event promoter and production company Duke Concept is a celebration of Black music from around the world united under one tribe.

In addition to Davido’s headlining performance, Tribeville will host fellow Nigerian acts Wande Coal and Young John, Grenadian singer V’ghn, Trinidadian soca artist Preedy, Nigerian singer-songwriter Chike, Afrorap act Bils, Alté group The Compozers, and South African rapper Focalistic, along with DJ sets by Skyla Tylaa, Babygirl The DJ, DJ Mobu, DJ Obi & DJ Big N, and many more.

Tribeville launched its inaugural edition in April 2023 with a lineup featuring Adekunle Gold, Oxlade, Victony, Libianca, and more. Returning this year, Tribeville follows Duke Concept’s first-ever all-Ghanaian music festival Rolling Cocoa in Washington, D.C. and Davido’s monumental headline stop at New York City’s Madison Square Garden. Tribeville will continue Duke Concept’s mission to bring the vibrant flavors of Africa and the Caribbean to stages across the U.S. and beyond.

Burna Boy Breaks Several Milestones on Apple Music

The highly anticipated concert by Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy, slated for June 9th at the Johan Cruyff Arena Stadium in the Netherlands, has been called off.

Burna Boy personally relayed the disappointing news via his Instagram account, citing the event organizers’ failure to uphold their part of the agreement as the reason behind the cancellation.

Expressing his regret over the situation, Burna Boy assured fans that ticket holders would receive full refunds directly from their original point of purchase within the next 30 days.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, May, 2, 2024 the ‘On the low’ hitmaker emphasized the importance of fulfilling contractual obligations and thanked his fans for their support, signing off with a message of love and anticipation for future gatherings.

“We regret to inform you that due to a failure by the event organisers to meet their contracted obligations, Burna Boy’s concert at the stadium on June 9th 2024 has been cancelled.

“All ticket buyers will be refunded from the point of purchase within 30 days. Love you and see you soon,” he wrote.
