Don’t rely on your man all the time; be a responsible woman – Nikki Samonas to fellow women
Celebrated Ghanaian actress and TV personality, Nikki Samonas has urged her fellow women to be responsible and build a better future for themselves to avoid over relying on their male partners.
Speaking in a candid interview on The Ladies Circle show on TV3, the bubbly thespian advocated for women’s empowerment and self-reliance, emphasizing the importance of building a secure future independent of male partners.
She detailed that it is the responsibility of both genders to raise and take care of a child once they both took part in conceiving the child.
However, Nikki emphasized that at any point in time, anything could happen to a man or the other partner, hence women must be able to build their future enough that even in the absence of the man they can independently take care of their child.
The award-winning actress further asserted that overly relying on a man is not the good way to go.
“I don’t see it as a man’s responsibility or a woman’s responsibility. So far as you have produced a child, it is your responsibility. However, if he [the man] decides to leave and he does not take that responsibility or she doesn’t take that responsibility, you have to take the responsibility for both of you. It’s unfortunate. We have to come to the reality that life is not all rosy.
“It doesn’t necessarily mean him leaving, what if he dies? You need to be able to keep in mind that I want to be a responsible woman so I do not rely on the man all the time so I can do something for myself,” she explained
