Ebony Reigns continue to reign as Artist of the year following nullification of the category by VGMA board
This decision however makes the late Ebony Reigns the reigning artist of the year since the year 2018. She will hold the prestigious crown until the next VGMAs which hopefully, will come off in 2020.
Ebony won the “Artist of the year” award posthumously in the year 2018 after her tragic death a few months before.
The nominees for the artist of the year category included: King Promise, Kuami Eugene Joe Mettle, Sarkodie and the feuding dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
