Eminem was the big winner at the MTV EMA in Amsterdam – hosted by Redfoo – taking home two of the top honours. The rapper, who had already been named Global Icon, was also crowned Best Hip-Hop act – making him the artist with the most EMAs ever.
As well as picking up two new EMA trophies for his mantelpiece, Em also took to the stage, emerging from a giant boombox for a surprise performance of Berzerk, before demonstrating his lyrical dominance with a rendition of Rap God.
Katy Perry also picked up the gong for Best Female, while Justin Bieber kept his Best Male winning streak going by collecting the award for the fourth year running.
Lady of the moment Miley Cyrus also won her first ever EMA, with Wrecking Ball being named Best Video, with Bruno Mars also victorious in the Best Song category for Locked Out Of Heaven.One Direction took home the award for Best Pop, as heartthrob Harry Styles beat the likes of Justin Timberlake, Lady Gaga, Rita Ora and Rihanna to win Best Look.
However, 1D were beaten by Chris Lee of China in the Best Worldwide Act category, and Tokio Hotel‘s aliens voted in their thousands to beat One Direction and Justin Bieber to snag Best Fans. Austin Mahone also picked up the Best Push accolade.
Macklemore & Ryan Lewis received the gong for Best New, Linkin Park won Best World Stage, while Green Day were named Best Rock.
30 Seconds To Mars were crowned Best Alternative, Beyoncé won Best Live and Aviciipicked up the award for Best Electronic.
