Events Board: Jojo Abot and the Phunky Phew in Concert at Alliance Francaise, May 18

Afro-beat and jazz singer Jojo Abot will this saturday stage a solo concert at Alliance Francaise. She will be backed by the Phunky Phew band, as well as joined in concert by Ofie Kodjo and Gyedu Blay Ambolley.

Accra is getting ready to host one of the motherland’s most talented act, as she dishes out eclectic renditions of her popular songs, and some, yet-to-be-released materials.

A talented entertainer, who also worked as a model and actress, Jojo Abot recently played the lead role in the AMAA-winning short film Kwaku Ananse, produced by Akosua Adoma Owusu.

The May 18 concert will afford her a unique opportunity to sell her craft.
