Ghanaian actor, Eddie Watson has come for fans who are attacking him under a post he made in support of actress Beverly Afaglo.

Over the week, news broke that Beverly’s home had been burnt down to ashes, leaving her and her kids, homeless.

In a bid to help her rebuild, actress and producer, Yvonne Nelson, set up a Go-Fund Me account with a target of $20,000 to help raise funds to support Beverly and her family.

Fellow actors in the movie industry, including Eddie Watson, have shared the Go-Fund Me links to their social media pages, encouraging their fans to support the cause.

Eddie Watson’s plea as has been seen on other pages, has not sat well with fans who believe a celebrity should not be asking for support from fans who can hardly make ends meet.

Replying to their comments on the post made on his Facebook page, Eddie Watson lamented how fans are quick to fight and insult celebrities but are reluctant to do same for politicians who steal from their citizenry day in day out.

He also added that these celebrities are the ones genuinely helping fans and citizens through donations and giveaways day in day out.

I’m reading some of the comments here and I can’t stop laughing! You guys are so funny with some of the comments but I still love you’ll greatly. If una just go fight our politicians that constantly steal the monies meant for us as citizens to help better our lives, African countries will improve. Una go insult celebrities when celebrities are hustling as hard as you are to make a living but una never go fight or insult politicians but instead una go hail them! Baba! Bossu! Twale! Chief! 🙌🏾 But celebrities are the ones that give money pass to fans. Celebrities dey go hospitals give, schools give, even lockdown na celebrities dey organize feeding when government people dey hide palliatives meant for the citizens. Celebrities that dey hustle like una go carry their small money help people. And the people who steal the billions go unquestioned and are even celebrated! Please, my people, feel sorry for ya celebrities! We all have problems and struggles, and we all are not enjoying our countries resources/monies like we should! I love y’all greatly ❤️❤️❤️
