Afrobeat star Davido has been featured in the official soundtrack for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

The Nigerian singer made this known via a post he shared on his Twitter page on Friday.

Davido’s enlistment on the soundtrack comes after the Super Eagles of Nigeria failed to qualify for the World Cup.

The Black Stars of Ghana qualified for the World Cup on Tuesday after playing a 1-1 draw with Nigeria.

This earned Ghana one of the five tickets for African representatives at the tournament billed for Qatar this year.

Davido was featured on the track alongside American R&B singer and social media personality Trinidad Cardona.

Another artiste enlisted on the track is American J-R&B singer Aisha. The track titled Hayya Hayya (better together) is set to debut on Friday, April 1, 2022.

This is a huge achievement for the ‘Champion Sound’ hitmaker who recently made headlines after he sold out his O2 concert, a feat that is a hallmark of success for many artistes.
